Description:

Located inside a flour mill, this visit allows you to get to know the traditional ceramics of Mallorca, and more specifically, that of Marratxí. Throughout the visit you will get to know the three types of clay workshops: pottery, pottery and siurell. A very complete tour in which all the phases of the work and many curiosities are shown. There is the possibility of holding a clay workshop at the end of the visit. This activity can be carried out thanks to the collaboration of the Marratxí City Council.

Throughout the visit it is intended to make known the most important clay vessels of three types of clay workshops: pottery, pottery and siurell. The exhibition also includes the ethnographic elements that are necessary for the creation of different pieces. An audiovisual completes the visit to the museum, in which you can see a synthesis of the interaction of man and the elements. Water, air, fire and earth are combined with oral tradition and the world of artisan creation. There is also the possibility of participating in a clay workshop, where each child lets their imagination run wild inspired by the siurells.
